Julia M.
Owner, Pet Caretaker + Animal Activist
Julia started her friendship with animals when she was a young girl. She has had pets of all kinds since she was a kid.
Her first job was at a no-kill dairy farm, Gale Woods Farm in Minnetrista, Minnesota. From that experience her interest in animals and the environment grew.
For years Julia and her mother worked with Ruff Start Rescue to foster previously abused animals. They re-acclimated the animals to humans and took care of them with love and consideration.
After Julia moved to DC, she started dog walking to be around more animals and her clients grew. Julia met Natasha who shared a similar love for animals and they decided to start JN Care For Pets! -
Natasha S.
Owner, Pet Caretaker + Entrepreneur
Freshly moved into my new childhood home, I got my first puppy at nine years old. Of course he was supposed to be the family dog, but as a young girl I fell instantly in love. He was mine. Since then, my love for pets has become part of my personality.
In 2018 I left NYC for school in Washington DC which meant leaving my dog and three cats. I didn't think dorm living would suit them. Unable to stay away from animals I started walking for Wag. Soon after I began walking for a small dog walking company. Eventually, after being a dog walker for three years and obtaining my bachelor’s degree I decided to start my own pet care business with my close friend Julia.

Dog Walker + Pet Caretaker
I can't remember a time growing up when I didn't have pets in my house. One of my earliest memories is bringing home my childhood Basset Hound and best friend, Domino, on my fourth birthday in a small box. He sparked my love of pets, and from then on, my passion has only grown.
No matter how my day is going, how I'm feeling, or what else I have going on, I can always rely on my animal companions to bring me joy and comfort at all times. And I know there are plenty of stories just like mine all around me.
Each pet holds a special place in their owner's heart, and I love the fact that I'm able to make sure each pet I interact with gets the love that they deserve.
RETURNING 2024!

I’m a pet-adoring DMV native from Woodbridge, VA. Dogs were an essential part of my childhood; we always had at least one while I was growing up but I currently have two very needy cats: a mom and son pair. Julia and I became close friends after working in production together and eventually doing cat care for one another.
My caretaking experience first started when I was 12 years old, babysitting small children which usually also meant looking after the family pet(s). Animals have always been a part of my everyday life whether it be taking care of my family dog or checking in on my friends and neighbors’ pets while they're away. I never got tired of spending time with pets. I believe every pet is a family member that deserves love and respect.
